Laura Corrigan

I tailor my lessons to the needs and aims of my students; if desired I can focus lessons on speaking, writing, reading or listening. I believe a solid knowledge of grammar is essential for the acquisition of any language and work to guide students through even the trickiest grammar points. Alongside this I like to make lessons interactive and enjoyable for students. I encourage students to speak as much as they can because it is through really using a language that you learn it the best.

Alongside my bachelor degree in European Languages and Cultures, I have also completed a level 5 TEFL and Trinity CertTESOL accreditation

I have taught both adults and children from various walks of life and a wide range of language backgrounds. I have taught online and face-to-face classes
My experiences as an English teacher in Dublin, Madrid and Mexico have brought me into contact with wonderful people from a range of diverse backgrounds, each with their own motivations and reasons for coming to my class. I enjoy learning about students and helping them reach their goals in English

In addition I have experience teaching classes with an exam focus, particularly the Cambridge First exam and IELTS exam.
