Hello! I'm Larissa, a teacher with an infectious passion for teaching Portuguese as a Second Language (PSL). My educational journey began at the Instituto Lenguas Vivas in Buenos Aires, where I received my training as a PSL teacher.

As a native of Rio de Janeiro living in Buenos Aires, I had the unique opportunity to deeply understand the challenges faced by foreigners learning a new language. This experience allowed me to naturally develop empathy and a sensitive approach to teaching, adapting my classes to meet the individual needs of students.

In addition to my formal training, my career has been enriched with practical experiences. I worked as a translator for the Discovery Channel, performing Spanish to Portuguese translations and contributing to the creation of newsletters. This experience provided me with a comprehensive understanding of language and culture, skills that I dynamically incorporate into my classes.

My goal is to make learning Portuguese an engaging, practical, and rewarding experience. I am committed to providing a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and enhance their language skills.

I typically incorporate a variety of materials such as multimedia resources, exercises, and real-life scenarios to ensure a comprehensive learning experience. Drawing from my background as a certified Portuguese as a Second Language instructor and my experience teaching diverse learners, I offer a structured yet flexible approach to lessons.

The content of my lessons covers a wide range of topics, including grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
