Lama Barnieh

Hello,
My name is Lama Barnieh. I'm an English teacher, tutor, and a translator. I am originally from Syria, but I have been living in Sweden for more than 10 years with my husband and two little children Sam and Roy. I can three languages (Arabic, English, and Swedish) very fluently. I have been teaching for almost 18 years. I am a legitimized English teacher. Have two Bachelor degrees one in English Literature and the other one is in English teaching specialization for all levels. I am also a master’s student at Malmo university in” Teaching and Learning in Higher Education”.
I have some other specialized teaching certificates like TESOL, TKT, and Teacher training. I am social and like to make friends, I love swimming, cooking, and reading. I believe in hard work, and I love teaching, it's actually my hobby.
I would like to say something about my classroom. My classroom is a learner's centered space I believe that every learner learns differently and there should be multiple opportunities for every student to learn and shine.
I know that some students might learn better by reading, others by writing, music, images, videos, games, conversations… and so on and so forth.
My classroom has the incorporation of all these interesting facilities and much more. I am also always aware of my duties as a teacher like classroom management, rewarding system and so on….
I always love to improve my students. I believe that every student has their potential and my work as a teacher is to improve them, to scaffold them to help and support them. I am always aware of my students’ strengths and weaknesses, and I develop myself as a teacher and always improve myself to support and motivate my students and help them achieve their goals.
