I am a professional and licensed music teacher with 15 years of classroom music teaching overseas, individual lessons for all levels of flute, beginner to intermediate music theory, and beginner piano and voice for all ages, including instrumental ensemble. I follow the ABRSM curriculum and have helped a number of students pass their grade level exams. I am also a certified practitioner of First Steps in Music and Level 1 Orff where developing a strong aural skills is a priority while learning through level appropriate lessons and materials through engaging activities.

Lessons will cover the different elements of music, ultimately working on being a holistic performer from playing their respective instruments to being able to apply theoretical knowledge in enhancing performance and the musical experience of the student and audience, if any.

Consistency is key in learning any skill and so I encourage students to participate actively in the lessons and try their very best to show up in each class. Practice at home is also important however, I make sure to give ones that are engaging and of course, still musical, and not just for the sake of it. Agreements will be put in place between the teacher and the student or parents/guardians regarding terms and conditions.

Music is meant to be shared and enjoyed. It is meant to elevate our living experiences and it is my goal for my students to achieve that. To change one life at a time, one note at a time.
