I studied with Kyoko for many years. I am a very anxious person and kyoko made me feel completely at easy with learning a new language from the first lesson. She is professional, kind, compassionate and thoroughly enjoyable to talk to. I enjoyed my lessons with her so much I made the decision to move to Japan where I live now. As much as I valued my lessons and the knowledge about Japanese language and Japanese culture, the thing I have valued the most is a life long friendship I have been able to grow with her. She is the best teacher I have ever had and genuinely helped me change my life. I could not recommend her enough as a sensei.

Kyoko has been my tutor for nearly 5 years. She is thorough, professional and an extremely good teacher. Kyoko can quickly identify your weak spots and tailor make study sessions to help you improve. Kyoko has been teaching my autistic daughter Japanese online for the past 3years. She is organised, patient and friendly and makes her lessons enjoyable. She always includes useful and authentic Japanese in her lessons. My daughter sat her GCSE Japanese last summer and got a grade 8 under Kyoko's excellent tutoring. She has continued to do lessons with Kyoko as she simply enjoys learning Japanese. I highly recommend Kyoko for learning authentic Japanese.

Kyoko has taught my son for a number of years and he absolutely loves learning Japanese , which is a testament to Kyoko for keeping his passion for the language alive. He has achieved one of the top grades in gcse and is on his way to being completely fluent, and studying towards the JLPT, which is amazing bearing in mind he only started to learn the language, in lockdown, a few years ago. I would really recommend Kyoko as a tutor for her teaching skills, integrity and professionalism too.

Exceptional tutor! Kyoko is very friendly, easy to understand and speaks great English and Japanese. She is also very patient which helped me not to feel too pressured, whilst assisting with pronounciation and additional information on a whiteboard such as kanji characters. I received around 2-3 years of casual 1 hour weekly lessons which helped to enhance my speaking ability whilst dealing with a hectic work and family life. I would highly recommend Kyoko as your Japanese tutor, having a native Japanese speaker to help guide your studies, really can increase learning ten-fold! ?????

Kyoko tutored me via Skype before my walking trip to Japan. I found her very pleasant and her method of teaching effective. Her conversational style of teaching allowed me to learn and then use the language effectively in rural Japan. My daughter and I did not meet Kyoko in person. Nor did we red any reviews, so we gambled on our choice of tutor, but we had the best possible experience as she guided my daughter to obtain, one year earlier, a fantastic 9 in her GCSE exam ! Kyoko is reliable and friendly, making Japanese studies a walk through the park . My daughter loves her, her way of teaching and her positive personality! After her GCSE exam, my daughter has been taking fortnightly lessons (despite resuming her Japanese school studies) just because of the language passion Kyoko instilled in her soul.
