I worked as a full-time English teacher at Macau Xin Hau Secondary School during the year of I have provided task-based language teaching method in the courses. I interacted with different types of students, including SEN students (ADHD, EBD, dyslexia) and I think it is very important to put effort to them based on their current levels. I assisted the SEN students after class by providing extra materials and simplifying the exercises. I maintain at least 70% grade average for all of my students. In addition to teaching English, I was a class teacher of Junior 2 and I need to develop a good teacher-student relationship and show my strong organizational ability to them. I set up classroom rules and manage students' discipline. I also cultivated them with a sense of unity and cooperation by holding collective activities such as birthday party.
On the other hand, I taught children piano and one of my students passed the ABRSM grade 3 piano with merit in 2017 and the other one passed the ABRSM grade 5 piano in 2021. I can provide 1:1 piano lesson and I have these experiences for at least 6 years.
All in all, I am motivated, patient and diligent. I can pick up things and curriculum fast and I am sure I can adapt myself to changes and deal with contingency (just like the cases of SEN students before, which were beyond my knowledge).
