I offer hour-long sessions to GCSE Physics students (triple or combined) looking to bring up their grade. I am an A-level student at Kimberley College studying physics, geography, mathematics and further maths. I attained grade 8s in physics and maths at GCSE, and I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students in physics especially.
Within the next year, I will be applying to physics courses at the most prestigious universities in the field, such as Oxford, Durham, Bath, etc. My ambition is to attain a post-graduate degree in astrophysics or astronomy.
We will tackle aspects of the course which you find most challenging or wish to brush up on, attempting previous exam questions, rearranging and applying equations, as well as refreshing or building on your existing knowledge. We'll delve into the details of the specification's complex ideas in order to ensure your understanding; I found the key to succeeding in GCSE exams was a tight grasp on the specifics and mentioning what the examiners are looking for in your answers. I would monitor your progress closely throughout our sessions to measure the effectiveness of a certain dynamic of teaching, and ultimately find a method that works best for you. Sessions will consist of a recap or previous knowledge check, content and practice questions, concluding with the setting of some work you would need to complete for our next session (I will use these to assess your progress and commitment to improving your grade).
