I believe that to successfully learn a subject, a student needs to build an intuitive understanding. Having had experience of peer tutoring, my approach to maths lessons involves solving lots of examples whilst explaining and working through the approach taken. In this way the student can gain confidence in their ability to tackle any problem and get used to using a logical, mathematical method.
