My attitude is to accommodate the students ways of learning. I like to talk to a student and get an understanding of where he/she/they are at and let the student direct how we move forward. I have used physical items for newer math classes or more direct methods to teach anything from basic math to algebra to calculus. I don't think math should be scary. My attitude is to accommodate the students ways of learning. I like to talk to a student and get an understanding of where he/she/they are at and let the student direct how we move forward. I have used physical items for newer math classes or more direct methods to teach anything from basic math to algebra to calculus. I don't think math should be scary. I have taught all ages and levels and believe everyone can "get" it if we find the right approach. I have taught high school (9-12) math and college (1st and second year) math classes, and when younger I taught children's math classes. I am willing to work with anyone who wants to try.
