TOPIC REVISION/TEACHING - briefly state the gist of the topic and demonstrate a simple question without explaining - provide a range of questions that increase in difficulty - allow student to try answer most difficult question without any explanation to understand students thought process - give student a safe and understanding moment to ask any questions and to clear any steps making sure they are getting the most out of a teaching session - after student is pushed to their limit, I will in depth explain a basic question - then allow the student to re-teach the method to me - assist them in answering rest of the questions - test at the end EXAM PRACTICE - past paper questions - walk and talk mocks (go through a past paper/mock paper whilst explaining my method and answering students questions and concerns) - explain examiner reports to achieve the highest possible grade - give them tricks and tips I used throughout the years to achieve my grade! EXTRA - be emotionally available for the student and empathise with them if they are going through a stressful period of time due to exams etc - plan lessons catered to an individual students need because not every teaching method suits every student
