Koushiki in a nutshell
I am an enthusiastic and passionate tutor who loves to share my passions with my students. I have always believed in allowing my students to have their own agency when working with them, particularly when it comes to letting them choose what exactly they would like to focus and improve on.

I am an enthusiastic and passionate tutor who loves to share my passions with my students. I have always believed in allowing my students to have their own agency when working with them, particularly when it comes to letting them choose what exactly they would like to focus and improve on.

When I start working with a student, I will generally use the first few sessions to determine the student's skill and understanding of the subject, and, using the information I gather from that as well as taking into account the student's own opinions on what they would like to focus on, I will create a soft-curriculum that can be changed and edited when needed in order to unlock the full potential of my student. I also believe in comprehensive feedback as well as keeping students, parents and guardians updated with how they are progressing regularly.

I have worked with students from home and abroad in a variety of subjects, primarily in English, French and German. As a tutor, I have 5+ years of experience and incredible successes. I have primarily tutored in GCSE English Literature and French, however I have covered English, French and German tutoring all the way towards A-Levels and the IB. I have always held myself to the expectation that I will bring forth detailed, yet flexible and entertaining lesson plans to help the students achieve their full potential.

I have also worked as an English Language Assistant in Germany. There I worked with secondary school aged students and provided supplementary help to the teachers. I was expected to introduce and conduct cultural exchanges between the UK and Germany. My primary tasks included encouraging verbal discussions around cultural and contemporary themes and helping students with conversation practice. While there, I worked with full-sized classes to one-to-one practice with struggling students.
