Kom is a welcoming and experienced vocal tutor who uses a tailored approach for each student,
and has worked with students of all backgrounds, ages and experience levels to:
*Improve ability, skills and confidence in singing, speaking, performing, breath control, improvisation and songwriting
*Prepare for Trinity Rock and Pop Vocal exams grade 1-8
*Prepare for auditions and assessments
*Prepare for speeches, interviews and presentations and performances
She has also worked with groups of people for team building exercises and directed recording sessions.
Kom has studied and has knowledge and qualifications in the following subjects/ areas:
*Grade 8 Distinction in Trinity Rock and Pop Vocals
*Estill Voice Training
*Speech and Language
*Vocal anatomy
*Life coaching
*Music business
*Learning and development
*Teach English as a Foreign Language
Kom grew up listening to a variety of music genres including pop, rnb and bollywood and began writing songs from the age of nine. She studied Drama and Music at GCSE as she loved performing.
Kom went on to win a radio talent show and subsequently got signed to a record label after writing a song with one of their producers. This lead to releasing music which has had airplay on BBC Radio One, BBC Asian Network, Kiss FM, Radio XL, and TV stations such as Britasia and B4U music and she performed on stage and in music videos.
Kom loves writing lyrics and has written lyrics most recently for a Dr Zeus track featuring Snoop Dogg, Zora Randhawa and Nargis Fakhri!
Kom is available Monday to Friday to teach online and in person at your home within a certain distance from West Bromwich (a smoke free environment- pets are fine as long as in a seperate room). Please note a small transport fee may be charged.
Lessons will be taught using a tailored approach at a pace that suits you, your experience levels, understanding and needs, so no pressure! Your journey is unique to you!
Also, feel free to choose songs in any language- this should not be an issue!
It will be helpful for you to have a notebook and pen/ pencil, water to drink and if possible a full length mirror available during your lessons.
