I began working in childcare from the age of 16 as a part time tutor at Explore Learning. This job made me certain that working and learning with children is something I am very passionate about. I was tutoring children from ages 4-14, helping me to gain experience in working from a wide range of age groups, and working with children who require varied levels of support. For example, many of my previous students have had dyspraxia and dyslexia, and I am always willing to learn new ways to provide better support for them.
I love making learning something that children can look forward to, and I achieve this by making my lessons specific to every child I teach. By getting to know them and speaking to them about their interests hopefully they can see learning with me as a positive experience for us both. I am flexible in the way I can teach, and open to feedback and suggestions from the students and parents.
Though I may be younger than other tutors, I see my age as an advantage, as I feel like I can communicate with my students on a level that they are more familiar with. Additionally, having left school not too long ago, I feel I have a fresher understanding of how the school system works and am willing to adapt to systems I am not familiar with.
To conclude, tutoring and childcare are two things that I am massively passionate about and truly hope I get the opportunity to work with you and your child!
