Throughout my time at school and at university, I witnessed first-hand how effective spaced repetition and active recall is for those content heavy subjects like biology. Hence these two techniques make up the main style of my teaching. With how personalised the medicine application needs to be, my Hybrid style of teaching plays well to the student's needs, and I use the demonstrator style of teaching especially when tutoring subjects as I use multimedia presentations heavily as well as other personal resources that I found invaluable during my preparation for A levels. I like to maintain a good rapport with my students and especially while tutoring at this level, I much rather sessions to feel more like a casual conversation rather than between student and teacher.

Having achieved 3A*s and top 10% scores in medicine entrance exams, you can be sure that you're in safe hands when coming to me for advice with A level subjects, and my 3 years of experience as a tutor - which ranges from GCSE English to A level chemistry and maths means that I've devised excellent techniques for student engagement as well as ensuring that the student gets exactly what they want out of the session. I keep sessions to 90 minutes at the most, with most sessions being 60 minutes with a 5 minute break every half hour as I have found that students tend to lose concentration towards the end of sessions, and I always make sure that the student is 100% confident in the content that I have taught them before moving onto the next topic - I do this through techniques such as asking the student to explain a concept to me and constantly asking questions about previously covered content. Finally I make use of past paper questions as they are the best way to get exam ready - and incorporate one of the most effective revision techniques, active recall.
