Hello!
I tutor English to GCSE and in addition, have nearly 20 years of experience supporting pupils in schools from Reception all the way to Year 6. This has included working one to one and with small groups providing reading and English support, including SATS preparation.
I am a patient and experienced tutor, working mostly online due to my rural location. I am adaptable to each learner’s needs and believe it is very important to understand the requirements of each learner and adapt lessons accordingly to provide engaging, achievable tasks with sufficient challenge to progressively increase confidence and skills whilst helping students to not be daunted by getting things wrong, instead encouraging them to understand that this is how we learn.
Learning should not be an unpleasant experience.
