I have a year's worth of experience in tutoring both online and in person. I have numerous lessons on PowerPoint as the main way information is shared during lessons. I have worked with ages 11-16. I also have extensive experience in teaching children with special education needs, mainly dyslexia, autism and ADHD. I also have experience with other disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder and Bipolar.
My way of teaching has been praised for being accommodating and engaging, often taking things slowly and from numerous approaches to achieve the best results and understanding. I aim to have a comfortable dynamic with students as I want them to feel happy to ask questions whenever necessary. I have been told I can be a calming influence on students as well as being hard working and integral in their education.
In lessons, there is always a range of activities surrounding the topic to ensure that the lesson is engaging and different week to week. There is also a lot of room for discussion as I believe it is very important for students to ask any questions as we go along.
