Since the course I am doing at the moment is still related to my A-Level subjects I have been able to add to my knowledge which would help if I want to explain the concepts in depth.
I have tutoring experience from the college I studied (Ashbourne College) and just starting online teaching.
It is very important to me in lessons to be able to help the student actually understand the concepts and be able to apply them. For a topic like biology I tend to break down things into smaller pieces of information so that it is easier to absorb the information and therefore the student has a chance to stop me if any part of the lesson is unclear for them.
As I mentioned understating topics is important to me and it is crucial in A-level exams. After I have taught a topic, I give the student questions from past papers to make sure they are able to apply the knowledge and also have another chance to clarify anything that they may not be sure about. This is usually a good opportunity for me to give some exam tips to approach exam questions more effectively.
