I usually use a hybrid method for teaching where I ask the students to use their imagination on how they could solve a problem and then point out the flaws with that while simultaneously showing them the correct way to implement their reasoning. I have been coding in SQL for the past 5 years and at this point the concepts come naturally to me so its easy for me to explain everything with detail....

An in-person session is better most of the times because it becomes easy to build a dynamic with the student and maintain equal periods of teaching and personal exploration.
I currently assist in Database management lab sessions at bangor university so my knowledge is upto date with what the course is currently asking for
