As a coach for Didi Rugby , I was head coach for 9 classes a week and an assistant for 9 classes a week. During my assisting role I would take the time to get to know the students, what keeps them happy and focused, making mental notes of how to keep them involved. I also took this time as an opportunity to personally bond with each child , and making sure those who needed a little extra help and motivation got that as and when it was necessary.During the time off in-between my coaching I was in constant contact with parents and carers to ensure any changes they felt were necessary or any questions were answered and sorted accordingly. I plan my sessions to each individual that attends each class, to create not just a fun environment but also a safe place for them to feel the ability to wind down and enjoy their activities as well as learn at the same time . During the classes of being a head coach , I have the ability to change my session as it happens to cater everybody’s needs. I also used these sessions to tweak my approach as needed to receive the desired results. These sessions also give me the opportunity to teach other members of staff how to interact with our students , helping to create a bond between not just staff and students but also parents and staff; and more importantly student and student bonds, all of which are extremely important in this line of work .
