I like to work on a 6 week basis. I believe that focusing on specific topics such as grammar improvement or reading ability can be gained in this time period. At the end of the 6 weeks I create a review and feedback form to be able to show the student (or student’s guardian) how far the student has come in terms of their ability.

Whether there is one specific area within English that the student would like to focus on, or there is 5, I will ensure that these topics are targeted and worked upon. I will nearly always encourage the student to do some work at home or in their free time to quicken their learning. Every lesson will also include some light reading.
Reading is not just important for acquiring knowledge, it will helps build up vocabulary and range in English, too.

I pride myself in creating an excellent atmosphere in which children are able to learn effectively. I strive for excellence in both teaching and in the student’s learning. I have strong communication levels and can communicate effectively with everyone I meet. I am very reliable and have a great attitude; always wanting to do the best I can for both myself and for the company in which I work.

I am based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I am more than willing to travel to meet with my students face to face providing that travel expenses are covered.

Although I am new to ‘find tutors.co.uk’, I have been tutoring for 3 years now and have gained great experience. I obtain a Tutoring in Schools certificate from Ulster Universtiy. I’m currently awaiting the return of my Access NI DBS check. I hope that this information encourages you to choose me.
