Depending on the student I will adapt my lesson plans - whether they prefer visual learning such as a presentation or if they need to learn the knowledge through a real life example. The content will relate to what they need and what they may be struggling with; and although I am the teacher in a sense, I will not try to exert any sense of power structure that makes them feel uncomfortable. At the end of the day, I am there to help - not make them feel bad about their knowledge or ability level. In regards to my experience, I have tutored my friends before, as well as completing work experience at a primary school which has developed my skills with working with children and teaching in general - and attending to a student's specific needs. I am an aspiring teacher so you can trust that I will put my all into helping a student!
