I have been a KS1 and early years teacher for over 20 years and love seeing children make progress. Ilove to make lessons practical, fun and pacey so you'll never get bored and you'll learn so much in 45 minutes to an hour. I start by showing you the fab stickers you can earn alongside my special PRIZE BAG!!!!
We start with phonics, a quick 15-20 minute fast paced lesson then play a phonics game. We will do some reading and writing in this session too! We will go onto maths if needed and learn practically! NO BORING WORKSHEETS!!! We can then play a maths game or do a puzzle and use fine motor activities to help with coordination and pencil control! We can do some handwriting skills and hand exercises and even use play dough to make our fingers and hands stronger, it all helps towards stronger and more coordinated fingers and neater handwriting. Every session will end with the children receiving stickers and a prize. I've always made sure that children I educate use their preferred learning style and ensure that every child makes progress and works on their particular needs. All children of this age can struggle with concentration so pacey, fun lessons works well. I have over 20 years of also working with SEN children and can adapt lessons according ly to get the best out of each child.
