Hi, my Maths lessons are 1 hour long. Before the lesson I’ll look through the syllabus which you’re studying and then we’ll get straight into it on an interactive whiteboard. I’ll put questions on in increasing difficulty because Maths topics always build upon previous maths topics so starting with basics and having a strong foundation will make it much easier to learn new Maths topics down the line. In my previous school, King’s College School, from ages 14-18, I taught Maths and Sciences to kids in Primary and Secondary schools, so I have an very good idea of what topics students normally find more tough than others and I know how to help them understand them. I know to some people Maths can seem very dull, because of the content and sometimes because of a teacher. I’m very patient with students and I don’t think rushing helps anyone understand a topic well. It’s much better to go step by step so you really understand what you’re doing so whenever you do a similar type of question again, it becomes second nature.
