Hello, my name is Kenn. I am an English instructor with over twelve years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language, and I'm excited to share my passion for language learning with you.
My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and customized to each student’s individual needs. I believe that effective language instruction should be based on student-centered learning, where the learner is at the center of the lesson and actively participates in the learning process. I use a variety of teaching methodologies, including task-based learning, communicative language teaching, and content-based instruction, to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. I incorporate authentic materials such as news articles, videos, and podcasts to expose students to real-world English language use, and to help them develop their reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills.
In my experience, the best way to learn a language is through practice, so I encourage my students to speak as much as possible during our lessons. I provide plenty of opportunities for conversation practice, and I help students develop their confidence and fluency through role-plays, discussions, debates, and other interactive activities.
A positive and supportive learning environment is essential for student success. Thus, I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and expressing themselves. I use positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to motivate and encourage my students, and I'm always available to provide extra help and support when needed.
