I use student centered learning methods with industry-based case study to teach my students. I received a Ph.D. (2017) in Electronics Engineering (both from the University of Nigeria, (UNN) respectively. Also, I was the overall best Ph.D. candidate from the Faculty of Engineering. Current, I am a senior research fellow with Imperial college London and Manchester metropolitan University, UK.
My first employment was at National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, (ELDI-NASENI) Nigeria, where I worked for eight years (8) and rose to a Senior Research Engineer in Digital infrastructure support design, before joining the Federal University of Technology Owerri, (FUTO) Nigeria in 2014. I have worked with Cisco Systems as project manager and instructor in NetAcad.
For the past cumulative 10 years, I have attracted and managed over $ grants from World bank, Tetfund, IEEE Inc, USA, NITMA, WPI, and Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) among others, for various impact-based community-based projects, addressing key SDG mandates. I have Chaired various University ICT committees for curriculum reviews in the School of Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, and Cybersecurity departments) which consummated in successful departmental accreditations ( ). I have also carried out various community-based services, and hosted and co-hosted various workshops, symposia, and international conferences for the past 7 years. This has opened various international collaborations with Cisco (USA), National Instruments (NI), and various agencies of government at my university.
Given my proclivities for R&D in digital transformation, I have elevated scholarly research, and training and have mentored over 5000 young people using my grant platforms in Africa. To date, I am the University Cisco Academy Manager and have managed the routine operation of the Academy. Besides my CCNA Certification, I have undergone training in DevNet, IBM Cloud, and IoT systems. I also have strong skills working with Cisco Layer-2 and Layer -3 devices. I have strong project management skills with excellent communication and problem-solving skills as a network engineer.
