Mathematics is an international language and is the natural language used by scientists and engineers world-wide. The best way to learn the subject is to understand the many applications of mathematics both in the natural real world and the technological man made world. Many of the successful man made technological systems are designed by attempting to copy or mimic the natural world where all the best solutions may be found. I have often heard many phrases from students who say, things such as 'what is the point of doing all this mathematics', and this is often because they are unaware of the wide applications of mathematics where an understanding mathematics is vitally important to the well-being of human life and our role in ensuring that our actions today and our actions of the future are harmonised with the need to ensure the well-being of the natural world. The ability to formulate and solve problems mathematically is central to this understanding and ultimately to achieving a successful future for mankind and the natural world.

My lessons will aim to teach the many facets of mathematics, from linear algebra, planar geometry, trigonometry, numerical analysis, mechanics and dynamics and methods of calculus to solve real-world static and dynamical equations modelled by linear differential equations. My aim is to support students in secondary education, further education, higher education and for those who may have already graduated and working in industry.

My approach as a tutor is on a one to one basis, where each of my tutees is given an equal opportunity to further their own understanding of whatever aspect of mathematics is required to achieve this in which my advice, guidance, additional support and further tuition will be provided.
