Learning should be fun and engaging, I always try to make my lessons fun as well as educational and encourage my students to think and question. This helps them retain information and builds confidence.

The first meeting is always important to ensure teacher and student can develop a trust which allows for growth. in confidence and motivation to learn. This I find is vital to a student reaching their goals. Making sure that there is a connection and we can work together is very important to achievement. As confidence is a big part of learning

I have nearly 20 years experience of teaching and tutoring. Dealing mostly with Business clients and IELTS exam preparation students. I have taught to all ages and levels, with a large amount of this being online, using Zoom, Teams or Ding talk.

I successfully ran my own teaching business in China for 8 years before returning back to Europe.

Over the years I am privileged to have helped many students achieve their goals and to have remained in touch with them as their journey in life grew. There is no greater reward from a job as knowing you assisted someone achieving a dream and having them come back to thank you.

The joy of teaching, and the things the student and teacher learn in terms not only of language, but also culture are vast. It is a job that always surprises and brings joy.
