I am an ex primary school teacher who specialises in ICT. I mainly work with key stage 2 children and will focus on reading, writing and maths. I deliver online and face to face sessions. I love teaching through games and fun activities but will also look at assessments to guage where the children are so I can plan appropriate sessions. All children are treated as individuals and I work at their abilities. I try to make sure that all learning methods are used to suit the children especially for those who are more kinesthetic.

I work in my kitchen which is bright and airy without many distractions. Every child has their own pack which includes a workbook, whiteboard and pencil case. All work will be kept in the pack and parents can ask to see the work if they wish to.

The first session would be used as an assessment session to find out what areas are needed to be worked on and this will help me to plan suitable lessons. I also like to get to know my students so I start by asking some questions to get a background of my students. They then have the time to ask me questions as well.

All sessions start by finding out how their week has been and if there is anything they struggled with at school. If something comes up that they have struggled with we can work on that straight away as it is fresh and something that they want to work on.
