Having played guitar for over 20 years, and studied music for over 10, I believe the key to success in navigating the complexities of it is to have fun and play. There's a reason we gravitate towards our instruments or DAWs, and it's not the money! I try to keep that sense of play and fun alive with music and just look for structure and discipline rather than strict progression. Enjoying the process can often yield greater or unexpected results, furthering your skills and knowledge.

I like to lay out goals, but try and find new or exciting ways to get there.
