Hi!

I aim to create a space that works for each students individual needs.

I believe in studying what you are interested in, as a film and media student I personally enjoy analysing and writing creative pieces from many different genres.

I want each student to be able to strengthen their abilities and learn through a form that keeps them engaged.

My lessons are based on analysis and writing to build literacy skills. Vocabulary and grammar can be strengthened by engaging with different forms of media and understanding how and why each tool is used.

I will help personalise each students course work to help progress understanding, while continuing to engage with materials set from other establishments.

As someone who used to struggle with literacy and essay writing I have become very observant on how different people engage and learn and want to make sure that each student is being taught in a way that works for them. This can be through hands on activities, specific readings or different explanations from what they have been taught so far.

I want everyone to be able to enjoy media and literacy through a high understanding of academic knowledge.

Main teaching methods:
• Essay planning, structuring and writing lessons.
•developing tasks based off students needs
•refreshing strengths
•developing a wider knowledge of literature through forms of media and genre
•setting reading and writing goals
•teaching foundational skills and continuing to develop them through lessons
•grading through development, understanding and progression shown through course work.
