I am a proponent of positive behavior supports. I apply this methodology to my teaching and to my classroom management. When I focus on what the student is doing right, I am reinforcing that behavior/skill and encouraging more of it. Everyone loves praise and I am a successful teacher because I actively look for the positives, the growth, and the best in students. I prefer a Socratic style teaching session, guiding the student to find their answers using context, tone, and prior knowledge. Ultimately, however, I tailor each lesson to the learners that are present; through observation, consultations, examining past assignments, and information from stakeholders. I am so excited to embark on this journey and reach learners worldwide!
