Kayla in a nutshell
We will start with focusing on vocal health. I will train students to use warmup exercises that fit their individual levels, we will then move onto individual interests.

I am both a vocal coach, songwriting teacher, and performance coach, with the end goal being- helping the student find their voice. Given my background at Berklee, the vocal technique and focus is imperative to the genre and focus of what the student hopes to achieve. We will develop a vocal style that fits the student based upon genre of interest.

If live performance is an interest, we will build a repertoire together of music that suits the interests and ability of the individual, as well as performance techniques for live stage audiences. With younger students, it helps to go over certain stage blocking techniques as well as captivating attention with presentation of vocal abilities and connection.

Helping students find their voice in the most inspirational, safe, and helpful way is what I will do. Our voices are fragile instruments that cannot be replaced if damaged- vocal warmups and safety as well as promoting musical creative choices within stylistic measures will be a large portion of my lessons. Songwriting in many different styles is highly encouraged- it can be both therapeutic and expressive for the developing minds of young ones. I look forward to teaching you!

She was very attentive to my little girl. My daughter is 12 years old and has expressed an interest in singing at a young age. Kayla kindled her confidence and has taught her healthy ways to warmup and adjust to the songs she's been wanting to sing. Kayla has sparked a creative side to my daughter that I havent seen before with songwriting. She's great with young ones and is very personable. I highly recommend her if your kids are starting out in the arts!
