I have tutored many different types of students before, from helping with Oxbridge admissions, to coaching students for 11plus and A-Levels. I always aim to put the student and their needs first, so I tailor each session accordingly in order to prioritise this. I always make sure, to set work so that students can practice the work that they are doing and really understand the work that they are doing. When going through and issue or encountering a problem, I walk students through each step of the problem being able to brainstorm and help them understand the root of the concept so that they can apply what I’ve shown them in future problems even when I am not around. I am a big believer in simplifying complex topics in a way that everyone can understand. So I often feel that visual learning and explaining things using day to day things in the world around you can be very helpful in drilling concepts and content into students’ heads as I recognise that it is hard to memorise everything for exams. With English Literature I am a big believer in the power and importance of the context within which authors’ are writing in as well as the importance of good analysis. Therefore, I hope to make any university application process or revision period for exams less stressful or overwhelming. I hope to assist in getting you accepted into your dream school or university, or even just acing your end of year exams. Whatever your needs, we can definitely work on them together.
