The lesson will start with whatever the student would like to go through, telling me this in advance will allow me to go in depth with the content and then give them a couple of practice questions in which they would complete the 1st one with me and then the rest independently. I would then go through each question talking about what the mark scheme expects and the technique the student should use to get full marks.
After I would ask them to explain to me a part of the content that they really struggle with (after they had learnt it) to then see if they have truly understood the concept of it.
