Through my experience and skill set, I am certain I can help you speak fluently and confidently. Together we can overcome your fear of learning a new language! Join me and let's ace English!
I have a Bachelor's in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield. My dissertation was in Education wherein, I designed a lesson and taught a B.tech sixth-form class. I have also written a literature review as part of it. The review studies the effectiveness of formative assessments in an English language classroom. Prior to my degree, I gained experience in teaching by taking over some of my A Level English classes and interning for WonderLab as a Science Teacher.
The format of teaching depends entirely on the student and their needs! After having a word with them and getting to know their likes/dislikes from a teaching perspective, I design their lessons in accordance. For example, if the student learns better through visuals I will try to include more visuals in the lessons such as in the form of flashcards, interactive quizzes etc. However, if the student is a kinesthetic learner, I will try to include more action-based activities in the lessons. I also like to take a basic test at the start to understand their level of English. Based on their level, I provide them with resources such as guides, workbooks, practice sheets and cheat sheets for revision. After every 3 classes I like to have a feedback session where the student can review their progress, summarise what they have learnt and give me their candid views on the lessons so far. Taking this into consideration improvements and upgrades are made to the lessons and to the content taught.
