Previously a Head of Department with 20+ years of experience teaching Maths to Yr 7 to Yr 11 and A Level Maths in a school which has over 75% A*~C. Well versed with the specifications of the Edexcel, OCR, AQA and new emerging standards.
I am a dynamic and professionally qualified teacher having done my Masters in Mathematics and Masters in Teaching.
I have delivered consistently outstanding GCSE and A Level results.
I am patient, honest and helpful. I believe in hard work, homework, worksheets and exam practice with constant encouragement.
Having been an Edexcel marker, am familiar with the marking strategies and train my students Accordingly.
My lessons are student led. I would ask my students what they are struggling with and address that topic. I use Microsoft Whiteboard ( a collaborative tool) to write which allows the students to write on the same sheet so that I can test students understanding and drive the lesson forward.
