The ability of leading my fellow friends in projects in High School and an extra-curricular course in Management, made me pursue a career in Administration later on attending a faculty of Business Administration and Advertising Production, from 2003 to 2007. I chose Marketing as my post graduation degree so it would be a complement to each other. Besides studying I worked as a volunteer in a Community Radio being responsible for researching and public relations of the organisation.
Overall I am pleased with my academic record achieving a first and 2:1 academic score for both majors and I believe all these activities and excellent performance in projects have prepared me well for graduate school. I am currently undergoing preparation to start a post-graduation course in Publishing and Editing. I worked as an Academic Coordinator and as an ELT Teacher since 2008. My responsibilities were teaching, planning lessons, attending and delivering workshops individually or in a team. I have also dealt with selection, interviews, recruitment and training of possible employees. Currently, I am working as a Content Editor for International School, a company specialised in bilingual education, catering for more than 200 regular schools in Brazil.
Working as a Teacher have helped me improve my proficiency in English as I was able to sit for several Cambridge Exams and get certifications, the latest being CPE (Cambridge Advanced) also led me to a further will to become a Professor and for that I have to continue my study to enrich my skills and broaden my knowledge. I have been awarded a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) achieving a pass grade B; I have also just received my Diploma in Teaching English as Second Language (TESOL) from Anaheim University in California. From 2012 to 2015 I have also worked as Cambridge Esol Exams Centre Manager Assistant and as Young Learners´ (Starters, Movers and Flyers) examiner. The former entailed coming to the Local Secretary’s assistance when it comes to organization,promotion and enrolling students for the Cambridge Exams, as well as the post stage dealing with results and certificate delivery.
Regarding experience with social media, I was invited to join the Brazilian team at Oxyme, a company from Holland, part of the multigroup Metrixlab. The job consisted in home office, collecting and analysing data from social media, requiring attention, commitment and most importantly, time management. As of August/2020 I started working as a Content Editor, a job which consists in attention to detail, constant reading and writing, as well as know-how from classroom experience.
Considering all the factors above, I truly believe that I would be very pleased to work with you for I believe I meet all the skills, experience and education required. I consider myself to be a good candidate because I am young, hardworking and motivated enough to work and I have been doing my best in everything I took part so far and I am honestly interested in doing much more; From my point of view, I am certain I can do much better if I am developed and trained.
