I have experience both in Spanish tutoring at Leaving Certificate level and in working as an AuPair and babysitter to Spanish children, so I am confident in my ability to teach all ages. I have spent a year living in Spain during which I have increased my fluency and acquired a new bank of colloquial language to share with my students to make them sound like natives. I am extremely passionate about the language and helping others to learn it, and I certainly bring this energy to my lessons!

With beginner students, I begin with present tense conjugation and provide an extensive verb list, including irregulars, which are necessary for conversation. My main approach entails providing my students with a wide vocabulary of essential terms and grammar points, and advising them on how best to revise and memorise terms to create fluency. My lesson plan would progress to cover all the other tenses, including a lot of conversation in order to ensure that their oral skills develop. Of course, my lessons will include an aural element to ensure that my students have a well rounded understanding of the language. Overall, I will ensure that my lessons provide a fun and achievable route to learning Spanish and to retaining new vocabulary everyday.
