When tutoring I use a variety of different, adaptable, teaching methods. This is so that if particular teaching styles are not effective ways for a particular young person to learn we can change the approach taken whilst ensuring that the appropriate content is still taught. I always attempt to balance a lecture approach alongside a hands on approach that uses physical materials to provide the student with relatable scenarios that enhance their education.

In my experience, having a collaborative and open environment to ensure that each student receives the education they require, is one of the most important aspects to remember when providing students with a well rounded education. As a way to ensure that the needs of all students are met, I am able to be reached by phone calls, texts and emails regardless of the time. Please note that I do not answer phone calls during tutoring sessions so texts are usually the fastest way to reach me. However, if you do call and I am in the middle of a session, I will return the call at the earliest opportunity.

Another unique approach that I take to provide students with the best possible education, is by having short sessions to address discuss progress, issues and concerns. These sessions are free of charge and on average 30 minutes long, it is an opportunity to address the teaching methods used, determine if the student would appreciate further clarification on any topics and to discuss different approaches that can be taken to give them the best possible outcome in their exams and general education.
