My lessons will be formatted starting with a recap of the lesson before and a check of any knowledge which will be needed for the upcoming lesson, this will give the student a chance to ask any questions before having a go at some questions. This time will also be available for the student to ask me any other maths questions and for me to be able to build rapport to better understand the needs of the student and accommodate them.
I believe that students learn best when they feel able to ask as many questions as possible and are given the opportunity to try things independently giving them time to think for themselves before being helped if they are stuck.
I am currently studying to be a primary school teacher and have completed both work experience and placements in primary school classrooms. I also have experience in tutoring students (reception - year 11) in maths.
