I am experienced in tailoring lessons/interventions with students based around their understanding of concepts and knowledge. I am very adaptable and all lessons will be structured in many different ways including a variety of engaging activities and games which will be suited to your child. Prior to and during the first lesson, I aim to get to know my students in order to build a rapport and be able to plan and teach most effectively to them. I have worked in many primary schools as part of my degree and prior to starting it which has allowed me to build an extensive bank of knowledge and resources to use with students to build and boost their confidence in learning, whilst making it fun and enjoyable. I believe the most important aspect of learning is for a child to enjoy themselves and to inspire them to learn more. learning can be a tricky process and school is not loved by all children. This is why I intend all my lessons/sessions to be child-centred and not based solely on the academics but developing a Childs confidence and self belief that they can achieve whatever they put their mind to. I will use interactive resources practicing a rang of skills (not always requiring students to read and answer questions) ensuring teaching and learning is delivered in small manageable chunks so children do not become overwhelmed. I pride myself in my ability to listen to my students, allowing them to tell me what they would like to learn or how they would like future sessions to structured. After all, children are the composers of their own learning.
