To help my students improve, I provide in-depth, detailed explanations in easy-to-follow steps. I also like to use interactive activities such as quizzes and discussions to create a deeper understanding. I start by ensuring my students understand the basic concepts well, then move on to gaps in my students’ knowledge with targeted revision resources.

I start my sessions by finding out where my students have strengths and where the areas are that we can develop. I discover this through past papers and agreeing on which topics we would like to start, or beginning with a topic the student personally has in mind.

In the following lessons, we will start by answering questions on the topic from the previous week, to help concepts stick in the memory and aid fast recall. Then, as we move onto another topic, we will discuss what the student already knows about the topic, and I will provide some worked examples. From this point, I help students answer examples by themselves, through scaffolding answers and using models.
