Using successful and tested techniques (reading materials, videos, podcasts, etc. in areas that interest you), we will work to build your competence with speaking/reading/writing/listening. I find that engaging with students on topics they're passionate about leads to better outcomes. Our sessions shouldn't feel like homework, but rather conversational development between friends. This option is great for non-native speakers looking to build confidence and competence.

If you have a specific task in the language that you want to work on, send it to me ahead of time and we can work on it together. This option is good for essays, homework, and grammar practice for school work and testing and is available for native speakers as well as non-native speakers.

I am a language-lover, who offers a non-stressful, calm, and safe environment for language practice. Over my many years of my own personal language learning (English, French, Norwegian, Polish, and American Sign Language), as well as time spent teaching (English and French to a variety of ages), I've learned that connecting with your teacher in a safe non-judgemental environment is crucial for language development. Whether it be casual conversation, or specific lessons, we can work together and learn together. We will set learning goals, and reflect on the learning journey thus far.

I appreciate learning what works best for my students, so I adapt my lessons over time to work best for my students based on our previous lessons. I am confident that together we will find a lesson-style that works best for you and helps you feel confident as you tackle new language challenges.
