I’ve been a French tutor for 25 years, and am extremely well-qualified and experienced.
I started learning French at 7 years old at my mother’s primary school, and did a degree and PGCE in the subject.
I then, after a few years bringing up my son, started teaching in comprehensive schools in South Wales, and did the job of ‘Assistante’ at one; helping A Level students with their speaking.
After five years of this, I then taught adult conversation at Swansea University for ten years, and since lockdown my teaching has mainly gone online, but I’m also still available face-to-face from Swansea to Bridgend.
I can teach secondary age pupils from GCSE to A Level, and adult beginners to advanced.
I moved into EFL teaching about 17 yrs ago, and have been teaching at the main FE college in Swansea for 13 yrs, having gained a TESOL certificate.
I've had a lot of success, mainly F2F, but also online during lockdown, teaching beginners to intermediate, and have had a couple of students abroad to whom I've taught advanced and proficiency.
I have recently learnt a lot of online teaching techniques for making lessons interesting, engaging, and interactive.
I incorporate all four skills into my lessons, and am aware of different learning needs, and thus create lessons which are specifically geared to suit the students’ own preferences, and goals.
Lessons with me are fun, interesting and challenging.
