I find out the student's learning style(s) and preferences, as well as their interests, during the first session and do my best to teach accordingly, so that the lessons are engaging and relevant. I am patient, friendly and encouraging, and teach at the student's pace. I have a degree in Modern Languages, so appreciate the challenges of learning a foreign language. I have a PGCE (PCET), so am a fully qualified teacher, and have been tutoring on a one-to-one basis from my home both in person and online since 2013. I have taught EFL in France and also tutor in French to GCSE level.

After a series of lessons with Kathleen I would highly recommend her as a French tutor. Her extensive knowledge of the language and culture shines through her teaching, making each lesson engaging and informative. Kathleen's patience is something that was very apparent as she took the time to ensure I could grasp the concepts, offering specific guidance to my questions. Her passion for the language and culture of France is clear, creating an enjoyable and effective learning environment. Without a doubt, Kathleen's expertise and patience make her a great French teacher.

Kathleen was a fantastic tutor who helped me achieve a grade A in my French GCSE. I wouldn't have been able to achieve this without Kathleen’s support and guidance. Her sessions were always interactive and engaging. Overall, I would highly recommend Kathleen’s tutoring services to anyone seeking to improve their language skills!
