As an experienced manager and educator, my dedicated, dependable and proactive approach has resulted in numerous achievements and successes. I am confident that my experience and abilities are flexible and adaptable to new employment. I have an outstanding record of 25+ years in teaching and working with in many different situations and with various challenges. 16 of those years were in school management being proactive, dedicated and ambitious. Since returning to the UK my main emphasis has been to concentrate on a healthier work life balance. I have been working as a 1:1 tutor with students who are working towards their GCSE/Functional Skills, or who are unable to access main stream school. Alongside various other flexible roles such as working with KS1 & KS2 students who for SEMH reasons have been out of school or need extra support to learn new strategies to manage within the everyday school life.
Previously, I worked closely with the exams officer to ensure that all CIE standards were met, which required a change in timetabling. I was responsible for staff in house training and concentrated on improving academic achievement and work ethic especially within exam classes. Timetabling and cover on a day-to-day basis were also within my remit. I have built a new sixth form centre focusing on student progress and achievement, designed the Student Responsibility programme policy, encouraging teamwork through the introduction of trust in management proposals and development of a shared vision and ethos. I have a strong work ethic, acknowledged expertise in managing and leading school improvement, teaching, data analysis and application, SDP, leading SEN, and G&T pupils’ progress, systems development, curriculum change and pastoral support. The current environment is leading towards the adoption of a more flexible approach to learning and how this is taught. A coaching style of leadership, working on team-building, supporting and challenging both teachers and students of all abilities and aptitudes
