I have lots experience working with and teaching primary school aged children. I have completed the Teach South East Internship for primary teaching and have been offered a place on their teacher training course in September. I have volunteered at a local primary school where I worked 1:1 with students frequently particularly with reading and mathematics. I have also taught classroom lessons which were fun and engaging allowing the students to enjoy their learning. I have worked alongside SEN students helping them through the tasks presented on both a 1:1 and a 1:2 ratio.
I am currently in my 3rd year of my undergraduate degree in Music in which I specialise in cello performance. I have tutored numerous pupils in cello and in my second instrument, clarinet of all ages and abilities, particularly focusing on beginner and intermediate abilities.
Every year, I volunteer at my church's Holiday Club where I get to work with children and give them a fun filled day whilst also teaching them about the bible.
I really enjoy working 1:1 with students and finding out how they best learn. I am adaptable, passionate and fun and my main goal is to make sure children are able to learn in whatever way suits them best. My lessons will be fun but we will still get our work done. I want to show children and students that learning is and should be fun through my dynamic lessons which will be tailored to suit the needs of my students.
