I am a highly experienced professional educational manager and tutor. I am looking for part-time online teaching work to support a life change, as I have currently taken on a caring role within my family (for an adult).

I really enjoy teaching and am experienced in delivering: iGCSE English; GCSE English Language and Literature; Functional Skills English for adults with SEND needs and as a 2nd language.

I am a confident, creative educator and am just as at ease teaching large groups as I am 1:1. I make use of up to date technology, such as Jamboards and Slido, to engage, challenge, formatively assess and personalise delivery and assessment.

I also work with young adults as a SENDCO and I understand how to facilitate learning to meet diverse abilities and needs.

Finally, I like to use creative and PSHE topics as a vehicle for delivery, whenever possible, as I believe that education should challenge and engage learners to deal with real life. Having said that, I am always open to the interests of my students, and it's impressive how much English Functionality can be wrapped around Thomas the Tank Engine and the Fat Controller, when required!
