I am an experienced English tutor, specialising in teaching English as a foreign language. I use an individualised approach to teaching and focus on the goals and needs of my students. This allows me to ensure that the sessions are goal-driven with specific targets. By using continuous assessment, I am able to tailor each session to aid progression. I have demonstrated these abilities with learners of all ages and have seen excellent progress. My online sessions consist of a starter, recalling prior learning to enhance cognition, an introduction to the new content, practising the new concepts and then applying them to ensure that all aspects are embedded. This will be followed by a brief plenary or pre-teaching for the following session.

I pride myself on my ability to understand my students’ needs and take all areas of learning into consideration. I do not believe that a one size fits all approach is effective and therefore endeavour to build a strong professional relationship with my students. I am committed to supporting my students to develop their confidence and self belief. From experience, confident individuals are able to tackle challenges more readily and are not limited by self doubt. It is a personal goal of mine to help as many people as possible to feel confident in their own abilities.
