Hi, my name's Kate and I'm studying Physics, Astrophysics, and Cosmology at Lancaster University. I've always loved approaching problems analytically and enjoy finding solutions to the difficult problems that I have encountered through GCSEs, A-Levels, and now in my undergraduate course.

I decided to further my studies in Physics because it provides insight into the principles which dictate the world around me. Especially moving into the more advanced concepts at undergraduate level, it is also clear how deeply rooted in mathematics these physical principles are. I really love my subject and the problem-solving that comes with it, and hope that I can instil some of this passion in my tutees.

Throughout my education, I have helped many of my colleagues understand concepts that have been difficult for them to grasp, and therefore have lots of experience in breaking concepts down to the level required for understanding. This is proven by my extensive time spent writing solutions in Maths and Science exam papers for Physics and Maths Tutor.

responsibilities such as correcting and rewriting my colleague’s work, as I was able to produce content to a higher standard.

Tutor
My role included teaching GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics to children who are struggling
in the subject. This involved methodically breaking down problems and explaining solutions clearly. This role has
developed my innovative thought process as well as communication skills with people who have less knowledge in a
subject

Teaching Style:
I believe in creating a trusting and involving environment in each of my lessons so I can understand the best and most effective ways for each of my tutees to learn and perform to their fullest potential. Once this knowledge is built, I will be able to use my skills from my extensive previous experiences to help my tutees fully understand the ideas that they are struggling with, and allowing them to complete exam questions with confidence and ultimately achieve excellent results in their final exams.
